Here’s to Love

Here’s to love..

In all it’s purity.

In all of it’s unity.

In all of it’s healing.

In all of it’s togetherness.

In all of it’s endurance.

In all of it’s work.

In all of it’s challenges.

Here’s to love,

In all of it’s unique design.

In it’s magical moments.

In it’s hope and trust.

In it’s acceptance.

In all of it’s glory.

In all of it’s forgiveness.

In all of it’s patience.

In all of it’s happiness.

In all of it’s laughter.

In all of it’s truth.

The element that sustains life,

The only element that lives beyond life,

The beginning, rebirth, and cause of all that is good.

Here’s to Love…

May we all expierence it.

#20. Words you want to share with others

People love in different ways. You may have a man who brings you flowers every Monday but doesn’t give two hooty-hoots about Valentine’s Day. Just because he doesn’t give you a valentine doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you~  Jada Pinkett Smith

This past Thanksgiving, I was an emotional mess. Lots of memories passed through my mind and equally lots of frustration with the current “facts”. A friend of mine reminded me of this idea Mrs Smith states. Love is in tons of different ways. I shouldn’t have fixated on one holiday and this “boxed in idea” of what it is. As I grow, in love, with my boyfriend, I’m learning to be a better woman at the same time.

There’s so many different acts ovf love. There’s so many different ways to say I love you.

I challenge you to take the “5 Love Languages” test and discover a taste more about yourself. You may learn a bit more about others in your life, as well.

#21. Music that makes me feel adventures 🙂

I’ve heard there was a secret chord

I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch

And love is not a victory march,

It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah.

Many years ago, I heard this song for the first time. It made not a lick of sense. It took some growing spiritually and numerically, to understand anything of it.

I’ve googled the song, intrigued about it’s lyrical meaning. There’s seems to be some controversy even now.

To me, this song is saying prayers and praises need to be lifted in every storm. It’s saying that love, faith, and lust are all apart of one another, and that regardless of circumstances, love isn’t ready. It takes work. It’s not ever a victory without some sacrifice.

That’s my interpretation, anyway.

30DS Challenge – Day 7

This song is one I’d play while driving. It’s a reminder of where I grew up. It’s a reminder of my former husband, and how much he LOVED the country. He was born in the PA foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This really is such a bittersweet song.

Music Chain 🎵

F**k You

Time of My Life

What If

My best friend gave me the best advice He said each day’s a gift and not a given right Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind And try to take the path less traveled by That first step you take is the longest stride
If today was your last day And tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? If today was your last day (If today was your last day)
Against the grain should be a way of life What’s worth the prize is always worth the fight Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try So live like you’ll never live it twice Don’t take the free ride in your own life
If today was your last day And tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? Would you call old friends you never see? Reminisce old memories Would you forgive your enemies? Would you find that one you’re dreamin’ of? Swear up and down to God above That you finally fall in love If today was your last day
If today was your last day Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart? You know it’s never too late to shoot for the stars Regardless of who you are So do whatever it takes Cause you can’t rewind a moment in this life Let nothin’ stand in your way Cause the hands of time are never on your side

Daily Writing Challenge Mixture

” It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark!” Michael sings.

Maybe so, but, trust me, thats just the beginning! Who am I, you ask?

Photo Prompt taken from The Haunted Wordsmith’s Daily Writing Challenge

I am Phelsador, the alley cat. I sit upon this nice, warm, and thick outstretched tree branch as the people below bellow about goblins and ghouls. They truly are a vicious bunch, though, I must say. I’ve noticed them breaking so that can hunt their next snack. I don’t know about all of this belief is terror creatures, but I suppose it could be true.

The main actor is famous, I guess. Michael something or another. In the moonlight, he transforms into a ware wolf. Hhhmmmm, maybe there’s a pumpkin carriage awaiting for his Miss?! The beginning scene with all the screaming, really my least favorite part.  It catches me of gaurd, occasionally, and I’ll hiss like a possessed demon… Then fall out of the tree.

It’s just about that time when the actors are earily creeping up from the grave, OH LAWD is it stinky!!! One by one, some accidently slipping back into the deep hole. The costumes are well articulated for the Halloween theme. I don’t stick around long enough for human interaction though. My luck, I would run into a human that really has lost his sanity.

Nine lives, and I’m not ready to use them all on this Michael fella… So I perch myself on this branch and observe the eccentricity humans display on Halloween.

This is a combination of the Daily Writing Challenge and Worth A Thousand Words

Ummm?

This afternoon, I was driving home, with my two daughters.

As I sat at a red light, (by the way, I’ve stopped and waited for stop signs to turn green as well. Brandy’s Not So Bright Chronicals might be in the works!) I noticed a flag hanging on a porch.

Typically, this would be no big deal. Today, along with the flag, stood three naked full body size manikins!!! I had to laugh because Starship’s melody began singing in my head.

Maybe they were declaring unstoppable love?!

God, Have Mercy

I hear music all the time. Songs from generations ago, and stuff that’s on the radio today. I’ve heard such a vast mix of genres, artists, and types of music.

It’s been my diary, my best friend, my voice, and my blanket of safety. Anytime I needed healing, I replied on music to work it’s magic… And it ALWAYS prevailed.

But, as years passed, and Ive grown from a child to a young adult… And a young and inexperienced foolish newly wed, to this wise and refined concept of beauty, I’ve listened to old familiar songs and heard them for a very first time.

Lately, as if something greater is drawing me nearer, I’ve become obsessed with one particular song.

The artist’s voice caught my attention. The beat of the song is fast paced, and almost angelic.

But, what does Kyrie mean? What was the inspiration for this moment in my life, when a song steals my attention as if trying to tell me something.

So, I looked it up:

Kyrie- Mr Mister * You can listen to it here*

The wind blows hard against this mountain side, across the sea into my soul
It reaches into where I cannot hide, setting my feet upon the road

My heart is old, it holds my memories, my body burns a gemlike flame
Somewhere between the soul and soft machine, is where I find myself again

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I’m going will you follow
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

When I was young I thought of growing old, of what my life would mean to me
Would I have followed down my chosen road, or only wished what I could be

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I’m going will you follow
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

Keeping kids “schooled”

itunes.apple.com/us/story/id1396850379

Summer is all about fun time, ice cream and lots of water play… But, keeping kids’ minds stimulated helps transition them back into the routine for the next school year! My local libraries have a reading program called Summer Lit Club. There’s prizes that will be available for the participants who have read the most books! One morning, like 2 am, I  signed me and my girls up! (Haha probably shouldn’t do anything at 2 am… Bc it leads to momma doing stuff like this😂😂).Anyway, here’s a list of apps in the Apple store that will keep your kids on top with imagination, word vocabulary growth, and entertainment. The most AWESOME part: 😍😍😍😍IT’S ALL FREE😍😍😍😍

#1 Songs match my moods

When I can’t find the right words, music never fails. Two days ago, I was listening to Linkin Park. The song, Numb, played and I couldn’t believe how it spoke to me. I’d heard it so many times before; but, this was as if I’d heard it for the first time. Does that ever happen to you? Do you listen to the song but don’t actually understand it until it relates to your life? I’m happy that there will always be moments like this… Music therapy is essential food for my soul.

Numb: Linkin Park

In The End: Linkin Park
