Eventful Friday

Good Moring yall 😀 These photos were taken from the Pexels free library:D

I just wanted to share my positive vibes with you! My weekend has blessed me far beyond what I thought it would. It feels amazing when that happens, doesn’t it? I sure hope your weekend has been good to you thus far:D!! I know I’m sending you love and all my warmest hugs! If you smell something funny, it’s probably me too close. I was already out walking today and it’s a bit warm. I promise I don’t smell that bad though.

Here’s what’s happened that’s placed such a happiness in my heart. Yesterday morning, I waited to hear from a friend, to see if she’d watch my girls while i attended a meeting with my business partner ( boss and boyfriend). It was about eleven, when I got the great news that she’d be able to. I was beyond excited because I had been trying to “meet her” for years. I now finally had the opportunity and with a great reason!

“Meet” anymore is such a unique word. According to M-W Dictionary, meet means the following:

Definition of meet (Entry 3 of 3)

precisely adapted to a particular situation, need, or circumstance very proper

We meet online, but not necessarily face to face. Anyway, I meet my friend, Helen nearly four years ago, and just met her face to face yesterday. The drive was nearly an hour. The girls were pretty content in the car; and mommy was a bit anxious driving where she hadn’t before. I was determined to not allow the fear and anxiety to control my day though. Guess what, I got through it!

Upon arriving, I was able to appreciate the scenery of corn fields and wide open space. I knew that lifestyle all too well, having grown up in a similar setting. My girls weren’t accustomed to it. Our “yard” is too small; and they can see the city from very close by. Personally, I think it’s a wonderful idea to integrate a variety of experiences into a child’s life. I defiantly wish for my girls to understand and appreciate other lifestyles and customs than their own.

The ride back was tremendously enjoyable. First and foremost, adult conversation was great! HAHA~ Visiting with Helen was wonderful, she’s such a sweet lady. I do believe my girls have adopted her as ‘grandma’ already. I knew my boo would be waiting for me when I returned to my home, which had my heart melting and in such butterflies.

All these years later, and after all that we’ve been through, he’s still the reason I laugh and smile and run into people and daydream. He challenges me to be bigger than I am, and to do more … to try, and learn. I know the cliche is that “he completes me”, but he really does! Any of you who’ve truly paid attention to how I’ve been can see the drastic difference. No it’s not HIS responsibility to make me happy. No it’s not been HIM that’s done so… but, for those of you who’ve found your “soul’s mate”…. can understand what it’s like to be apart… and to reunite again.

Upon returning home, Chad was waiting for me. God he looked so yummy! He’s Puerto Rican, so his jet black curls, dark suntanned skin. He’s got a slightly bad boy grin and a walk that says ” I can handle myself if I have too!” Yeah, that’s just the beginning. He drives me crazy.

What I thought was going to be a business meeting and dinner, turned out to be a perfect date night. We had gotten to the Embassy Suites Hotel, and realized we were a few weeks early for the meeting ( HA HA, I need to be discuss secretarial work with him) so we headed out for a bite to eat.

Talks of our kids and business, artichoke and spinach dip, his life in the Army, and my challenge to not eat shrimp filled the waiting period. He’s my best friend, so when he gets a chance to crack a joke or dish out alittle `tude, he doesn’t miss the chance. He’s lucky he’s cute!

After dinner, we took a detour through the back roads of Cleveland… along the train tracks. It was the coolest site; roads I’d never been on before. He enjoys that aimless exploration as much as I do; but, I hadn’t done so in quite some time.

When we returned back to my place, Helen had made plans with her children for the next day. She was picked up and taken home. It was such a pleasure to meet her.

Chad and I had watched Split ( HIGHLY RECOMMEND~) and had much needed adult time together.

What I loved the most about yesterday, and the valuable lesson that life taught me, was that there’s no need to stress if things don’t go according to plan… because what DOES happen, may become much more precious memories. It’s ok to not have things work out as we expected, because what’s meant to be, needs to be, and we need to get out of our own way to allow that to happen.

Thursday Thoughts

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to actually “blog”, for weeks, now. I’ve just felt uninspired and down right gloomy. Thankfully, I feel some of that exciting creative flow rushing back through my veins. It’s an indescribable sensation, the juices of nutritious writing.

I’ve been working through cobwebs of my heart and my home. Things that have sat for far too long, needing a final place to call home. Lots of “stuff”, ended up in the trash. If I no longer use it, after six months or more, it has no purpose in my life. The cobwebs in my personal life have also been cleared out. I have a great family life, and I don’t need to feel obligated to anyone and /or about anything of which I’m truly not responsible. The remaining treasures, I’ve kept, are beautiful. They’ll always have a place in my heart.

Here, in Cleveland, we’ve stayed inside while temperatures have risen into the 90s!! I can’t remember a summer in years being this hot. I don’t mind heat; however, I’ve never been a fan of humidity. The girls enjoy the patio, park, and playgrounds, usually. This heat keeps up, we’ll be at the splakshpad again, soon. It’s a fantastic place for kids to gather, and enjoy one another’s company. It’s a part of Cleveland, I’ve never seen anywhere else.

I’ve spent much of today, cooking for the weekend. Guh, these girls are so picky, and it stresses me out trying to get them to eat right. Anyway, today’s dinner is corn on the comb (my summer obsession this year, as if this happens every summer. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It sure doesn’t!) and parmesan pork chops! Everything smells amazing. Here’s the pork chop recipe.

I didn’t use the mustard and it still smells amazing!!

So other than that, I’m fretting about school uniforms, getting my car sticker for this year and trying to find time for self-care. You know, all the fun stuff. I’m so grateful, my daughter’s father is taking both girls this weekend, so I’ll be alone… Working on my mountain of laundry but at least I’m able to do it. That’s truly the gift, having the means to do it. I get on Pinterest, sometimes, and the images of other parts of our world leave me speechless. (I’m aware this is randomly off topic). There’s real issues, issues and concerns for survival, in other parts of the world. We who have commodity, should be ever so thankful… And not squander it.

That being said, have a wonderful rest of your day.

Good Afternoon, Evening, and Morning.

Morning ☕️ Bloggers

This morning’s dose of positivity is being brought to you by this sleepy yet adorable koala bear 🐻

Photo Credit: Pixel Anarchy on Pixel

Koala Bear Facts:

  • They’re located mostly in Australia.
  • They smell like eucalyptus and musk.

The most significant threat to koala populations is habitat loss due to clearing of forests in Australia for urban, industrial and rural development.

And this cute cake enjoying a piece of cake (🎂🍰) I would most definitely say she’s filled with raspberry filling and covered in pink buttercream frosting.

Recipe for Raspberry Cake 🎂 filling:

12 oz frozen unsweetened raspberries, thawed
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
2 tbsp raspberry liqueur such as Razzmatazz by DeKuyper (optional but highly recommended)

Morning Short Story ☕️

” I think this hospital is trying to kill me!” Zelda whispered to Rhemy.

” What nonsense. They’re trying to keep you alive. What makes you say that?” Rhemy responded with confusion in her tone.

Zelda pointed to the coffee cup sitting on the tray, ” That coffee tastes like mud in a cup!”

” Zelda!! Don’t be drama…” Rhemy began as she raised the cup to her mouth for a sip.

” Oh my mother goose of Neverland, this is horrendous!!! ” she added, after projecting the mouthful across the room.

How is everyone this morning? Afternoon and Evening, depending on where you are? Did you enjoy my little short story introduction? Hahaha Coffee is just essential. It never ever should be anything but a top notch expierence.

Here’s a funny story, this morning, I was eagerly anticipating a great deal find on a blender, while searching Facebook marketplace 😂😂😂 A BLENDER!! When did I get old where kitchen appliances replaced actual fun stuff? Haha. This blender would make one badass iced coffee though, and everything about that is perfect!

So there’s that.

Who’s having coffee?

Sunday In Cleveland

Perfect afternoon:

Weather is warm, but cool. The sun feels fantastic! There’s not a cloud in the sky.

I’m by myself, able to sleep and watch tv, window shop and relax without much stress.

The park is busy but not so much where I couldn’t find a place to sit. The city skyline is amazing.

I’m in such peace. I’m so thankful!

Accepting What Is

I don’t know how. I don’t know why.

A situation, such as this, requires one thing… acceptance.

We’ve all been in a situation where we’ve just had to accept the truth. Sometimes, the truth is difficult. Sometimes, the truth is positive and we struggle to believe it.

Why do you struggle with accepting?

Insecurity? Rejection? Disowning? Fear? Bitterness? Anger? Abuse?

When we face the “why”, we can heal apart of ourselves. Healing can open new doors; and, create opportunities for beautiful beginnings.

3-2-1 Quote Me Challenge: Happiness

Fandango, over at This, That, and the Other, tagged me to participate in this round of 3-2-1 Quote Me, about Happiness.

“Happiness. It was the place where passion, with all its dazzle and drumbeat, met something softer: homecoming and safety and pure sunbeam comfort. It was all those things, intertwined with the heat and the thrill, and it was as bright within her as a swallowed star.”

Good Morning Beautiful People 😀

It’s little past six, May 2nd. The birds are up and chirping away. They seem to be most vocal before the dawn. Is that normal? Is it just me that thinks that? I don’t know.. There’s several different pitches and songs. I imagine the birds are preparing for babies. The last few years, the neighbors shutters held a nest of babies.

I’ve been up since five. I’m too excited to sleep. I have my love visiting this morning. I am beyond myself excited to see him. The last few days have been wonderful. I have learned he does remember bits and pieces, so he does remember me. Before him, things like concussions and PTSD were topics I heard. It wasn’t until now, that I’ve gained knowledge and some understanding of them.

Why do I say this? As humans, adaptation is apart of living… The more we know, the better we can work with new and unfamiliar. At no point in our lives do we know everything; and, we always have time to learn something new. On the daily, we’re reading blogs and Facebook, Twitter, watching GOT and the news. Our information intake doesn’t stop. What if we learned about useful topics, topics that already matter… What if we taught ourselves a second language. What if we chose to study the basics of the brain, or agriculture? I’m always hungry for new insight. I hope to have encouraged you to explore new information.

It’s now seven, and I’ve been trying to wake up and get this blog posted forever now. My girls are up, one sick (again!! Guh!), and the other one a bit still tired I think. They both look cute anyway. Zivah’s school year is almost over. That’s exciting.

OK, that’s the morning rundown. How you all enjoy your Thursday!

Coffee Share ☕️🍵

Good afternoon (almost)~

Please come in and have a seat. The coffee’s ready and the hot water for tea is almost ready.

The weather is gorgeous, here in Cleveland! I’m so thankful for that. I was worried about your drive up. The warmth feels amazing; and, the tulips are wonderful aren’t they?

So how has your week started? Anything big going on that you’d like to talk about or need to talk about? How’d your gardening going? I’ve yet to start but I am very excited about it.

This morning, I got up at my daughters Father’s house. Zivah and I stayed over because I had a huge fight with the neighbors yesterday. What about? Parking? It’s really worked it’s way into my balanced peace of mind. You know those super annoying inconveniences? That’s what this is! Zivah was a bit out of her element, but she got into school with little emotional discouragement. She’s an HSC (highly sensitive child). So much of what she feels, I did when I was her age.

Once I got her to school, I drove back and worked out a plan to get my car in the shop. That’s caused major anxiety over the last week, but it’s almost over. Bluh.

I’m going to let you enjoy your coffee, have a marvelous day!

Morning Coffee ☕️

Photo taken by Sogard on Pixabay

*Waving* Hello WP Family 😀

How is everyone doing this morning? Did you have a smooth start to your day? Coffee? Watched the sun rise with your furbabies and nature friends? Those of you who religiously read the paper, any news worth sharing? Please share with me, what’s your typical morning routine.

When I got up, I checked my phone for boyfriend update. There hasn’t been anything yet. Then I checked my email, and I received an email from someone who emoji flipped finger at me… Like five times, guys! That’s some offensive crap eh? I mean email and emoji… And she’s 11 years older than myself. The reality is some individuals won’t ever change because denial has stunt their growth. She’s my past. There’s a reason why she’s there. She’s taught me about truth; though, but that’s a topic for another post.

Next, I went to my Keurig and formulated a delicious cup of coffee, while my little one heard me and greeted me with her PJMask toys 🙂 Right now, they’re both relaxing on my bed, watching Sofia the First. Breakfast is Captive Crunch, peanut butter crunch. I’m sitting here, thinking about the day. The weather is suppose to be really nice. Sunshine is always welcomed. It boosts my mood every time.

Oh this is a good idea to include in this post.

Let’s see the three things I’m grateful for are:

1. My friend Tracy. She’s been in contact with me consistently for the last few days.

2. The Morning Glory seeds I bought are sprouting really well. I can’t wait to see their color.

3. My daughter’s In-home preschool teacher agreed to pick up a few items from the store for me since I’m without a vehicle. It’s really those little gestures of kindness that make the difference!

Bonus: There’s little quarrel between my girls this morning! That always feels wonderful. I question if I fight every battle that arise or if I’m not consistent enough with parenting them. Does a mother’s mind ever stop 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️💛?!

Ok, I’m going to do some blog commenting and daily challenges. I sure hope you’re doing well and feel a sense of peace and joy this morning.

Until Next Time ~

Good Morning 🦋🌞 How’s everyone doin? How strong is your coffee this morning? I have a fresh cup sitting next to me 🙂

My night consisted of three hours of a harsh dry cough. It was great fun. My chest is tight, so I diagnosed myself with an upper respiratory infection. Once I got that under control, my back started bothering me.

This morning, however, I was thankful that I walked to the coffee pot, and it was prep for brewing. That little detail is what makes life wonderful. Those moments of pure relief, of utter bliss, or complete contentment. When something makes life alittle easier, when something feels incredible, we should embrace the whole experience.

Anyway, have a fantastic weekend!

I’m sitting here, thinking about another blogger who wrote a “sit in” post. {That which is written while at the place the post takes place}.

I’m here @ McDonald’s (🥴); there’s only so much my girls would eat right now.

We are the only individuals in the seating area and playground.

Our store location is on the corner, from a Shell gas station ($2.29/gallon), Happy’s Pizza (which is disgusting to me!), and this other business I can’t see out the window.

The weather isn’t too cold, just enough to tease us of how Spring feels.

The customers are accumulating, a very odd set of three came in… Two of three in hoodies. I would say they’re high school age.

I’m sitting here drinking a large Dr Pepper. The staff is talking loud enough for everyone to hear. When I worked in fast food, we didn’t talk like that.

Today’s been an emotional day, most defiantly when my mind created problems that I don’t believe existed. I couldn’t get loose from the anxiety. I guess I should be gentle on myself for trying.

Anyway, this momma is utterly drained. Seven thirty can’t come soon enough.

#Monday Coffee Share

As I sit here sipping my coffee, I feel happy. I feel happy for many reasons.

Shortly after I got up, I wanted to feed my soul with something good & wholesome. Other than coffee, I don’t usually put anything in my body until lunch. Youtube had my rain playing, and I, then, found a story about adoption. This is such a delicate subject for me, because I am adopted. All over the world, children are given up to a system that “hopefully” places them into a suitable home. That’s not always the case.

What I love most about these stories is the gift of reunion. The precious and intimate moment when loved ones finally see each other for the first time in priceless. I get the waterworks because it’s life changing. Individuals wish and pray for this moment, remaining hopeful that it will happen.

I’m happy these positive stories are available to view. I’m happy that these reunions have been well recieved, and that the fokes welcomed each other into their lives. I’m happy that these individuals haven’t grown bitter and hateful.

The reasons why others act as they do isn’t always apparent. Though it may not make sense to anyone or everyone, most people do what they thought was best.

Friday morning is a perfect time to affirm what’s important! This week’s been crazy, emotionally. I feel semi-normal again. I hope all of you meet this weekend with a great flow of contentment and peace.. That you feel, ok… Even if you don’t have answers or can forsee the path… Or even understand the current state you’re in. Time seems to sort everything out and work our paths to influence our perspective.

Coffee time! Who else is enjoying the liquid elixir of sanity and dilution of adult responsibility?! I’m heading to round two, as I slept hard but not enough. My mattress is severely in need of a replacement. My girls loved to jump on it. One day, I heard a crack or something that I shouldn’t have. Fun fun fun!

How’s everyone doing today? It’s the second month of the year! How’s your resolutions coming? Every day is a fresh start, it’s never too late to try again.

Who’s joining me for coffee today? I have Green Mountain Breakfast Blend and Folger’s Black Silk 🙂

Sorry you missed the craziness of the early birthday celebration, but the aftermath is still visible 🤣

We’ve made it to another Thursday and to the second half of January (already!). How’s your year going?

My goals are still in tacked (Yay!!). Granted they’re not huge ones but still significant none the less.

My life with peace of mind has been stupendous! I’ve been fairly successful with keeping it.

My finances are getting better. That’s always a plus, right?! It’s never too late to improve there.

My mood is improving, significantly! I’m an empath; therefore, I feel what my boyfriend does. Fun lol.

I’m still waiting on Spring.. It’s taking it’s grand ol’ time arriving! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂{ #JearDesus}

What else? I’m going to be starting my own business soon! I hope you all would have a look (hint hint)!

I think that’s it ~ I’m so thankful for you all, and that tomorrow’s Friday 🙂

Refill time ☕️
