Happy Monday Bloggers! Today marks 4 days until Christmas. Are you ready? I have to finish wrapping gifts. I’m not sure why I’m dragging my feet (as I always have with wrapping)!
Today I’m giving thanks for professionalism! Why?
It’s an act of integrity that I highly admire. It’s encompassing ethical choices, hard decisions, top notch performance, all in dedication, and one hundred percent trust.
I’ve had children. I’ve been vulnerable in a state of labor and sickness. When I am in a situation that has potential to discredit and subject me to scrutiny, professionals have my back. Doctors keep my medical records private. Social Workers keep my adoption records private.
I want to emphasize these people see me, and you, in some of our most vulnerable situations. They give. They care. They provide. We entrust ourselves in their hands.
On the flip side, doctors and nurses, fire fighters, paramedics, FEEL like super heroes! They feel it their obligation to “fix” people! That’s super intense pressure. On a minute by minute bases, they use knowledge and technology to save a life… while the patient’s family waits in panic and hysteria!
During this pandemic, their mental health has been challenged. I can’t imagine how death has impacted their self esteem. It breaks my heart.
I’m thankful for the individuals who conduct themselves in ways that allow others to be vulnerable.
With Love & Light
