On this Thanksgiving holiday, I thought about the soldiers who weren’t home with family.
I thought about the first responders, who chose not to congregate, in fear of spreading Covid.
I thought about the individuals who lost loved ones in recent years…
And then I thought about those who’ve lost loved ones this year.
Thanksgiving is a day that many celebrate the discovery of America…. ;but, I think it’s a day of great loss… like that of our 2020.
Lives were torn apart. Separation happened shortly after a sudden virus spread on our soil. People died, lots of them.
I don’t believe in the traditional concept of “America’s history”…. so I remained fairly quiet today; and, I prayed.
Here’s to fixing mistakes so history won’t repeat itself.
