She comes here to find peace. It never fails to gift that, and so much more, to her. The sweetness of the lilies greet her at the entrance. The warmth of the sun embraces her skin like a tight hug from a friend. This is her retreat, her safety, her sanctuary from the rest of the world. She created it just for the purpose of self care. When her mother died, she quickly spun out of control. This garden has saved her; while, endlessly, meets her needs and fulfills her creative writing desires.

My mom used to escape into her garden, and refused most offers of help until freezing and canning season was upon us. I didn’t inherit her green thumb, but I do find peace and comfort amid flowers, and green plants. Your piece took me right back to Mom’s garden 🙂

Gardens are good therapy, I truly believe that. Nowhere am I more at peace than when I’m pottering around the garden, watching the bees. Well evoked
