Hey Everyone πŸŒŸπŸ’–

I just wanted to drop in with a quick update on me.

I miss you all; and, the chapter of my life when I was able to be more active here on WordPress. Please know I’m always thinking about all of you. I wish I had time to do all that I want to do in 24 hours, but if so… I would be pulling 36 hour shifts in 24 hours!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful Labor Day weekend, and that everyone got through without any major chaos. It’s crazy when chaos strikes, and how quickly things get out of control sometimes. I sure hope you were able to spend time relaxing, reading, writing, swimming, cooking on the grill… Whatever it is that brings you joy.

My weekend was really nice! Friday, my younger daughter’s father picked up both girls. I was in a great mood (it was Friday so duh!), and he didn’t work super late. The girls and I picked up dinner and a few things from the grocery store.

My older daughter has been doing wonderful with her school work, especially with her reading. I wanted to make a sticker chart where it would encourage positive behavior. Her two goals are being extra kind to me and sissy, and reading 20 minutes every day. Sissy also has a sticker chart. Her goals are help pick up toys and get through tasks without much fuss. They are really digging this idea.

In addition to these charts, especially because Zivah has a slight issue with being easily distracted, I’ve made and hung an After School Schedule chart and a Positive Self Talk chart. Practicing reading anything will better the vocabulary of both girls, but I want them to believe in themselves and their abilities far beyond what I needed from my parents.

That ” bettering myself” attitude has rooted itself into my life as well. I am further analyzing my heart, attitude, and intentions, beliefs, goals, and relationships. I am working super hard in my real estate job, and my boss is super pleased with my effort. I didn’t believe I could read a book he recommended to me, because reading really is a struggle for me. It’s not that I don’t know how… It’s the amount of information in trying to absorb at once, one at a time task, and keeping focused to finish it. Today though, knowing I preach on challenging myself and dabbling in uncomfortable to grow, I bought the ebook and started reading.

I’m really PROUD of myself for that decision and effort. The knowledge I gained, the insight and encouragement is beyond words… And that’s just within the first 70 pages. Right here, right now, I want to encourage you to stretch yourself by getting started on something you absolutely believe you can’t do. Of course, you MAY fail. On the flip side, you MAY NOT! You’ve got started though, and that’s the hardest part done.

Another aspect of bettering myself has been exercising. I’m walking for pledges to The Wounded Warriors Project. My sweetheart is a veteran, as many of you know, and he’s benefited greatly from the VA. I’m not sure where he’d be without other Vets… And I’m sure those WW feel the same. This app, as well as Sweatcoin, has really encouraged me to get out and get moving.

Here’s some pictures from my adventurous weekend…

My almost heart shaped morning glories.

OK, well another school week is on the horizon. That’s back to daytime house work, dishes, walking, and naps… Then after school homework, reading practice, and prepping for the next day. I hope you all comment and let me know how you are.

I send my best wishes for a prosperous, healthy, happy, and peaceful well.

May you feel the universe align with what’s meant to be yours and you remain content and at peace in the unknown, uncertain, and change.

  1. I think of you too. You have a lot on your plate, and yet you get a lot done. Raising two girls is by itself a lot, and here you are working at a job and challenging yourself with reading. My challenge for myself is just to get up and get more done with my day. Since the car accident 4 years ago, life is not much more than exhaustion. I’ve decided I’ve no choice but to overcome it, and so I am working on it. Hugs to you and the girls. ❀
