Decisions, Decisions

Hahaha that’s a ” where should we eat” kind of decision.

This, That, and The Other

E229EC97-283C-44C3-AD87-85F923CCA5B1Sam walked into the bar and saw his two best friends, Jerry and Hank, sitting at a table having a rather heated discussion. “Hey guys, what’s the brouhaha?” he asked.

“Jerry needs to make a decision and he can’t make a commitment one way or the other,” Hank said.

“I just don’t know,” Jerry said. “I feel like I’m standing at an intersection and I don’t know whether or not to go straight, turn to the right, or head left.”

“Maybe you should pause for a few minutes. Try making an outline listing all the pros and cons of each option,” Sam suggested.

“That seems like a lot of effort,” Jerry complained.

Sam gave Hank a questioning look. “What is this big decision he’s trying to make?” he asked.

Hank shook his head. “It’s really no biggie,” he said. “Jerry’s trying to decide if we should go back to his…

Getting Chatty with Fandango

So it begins like this:
Now keep up my friends 🙃
This Chatty little Q & A was created.
Roy tagged Fandango

Fandango’s left this chattiness open to whomever; so, now it’s me 🥰

  1. Answer the questions you receive (straight, funny, absurd, up to you)
  2. Create three questions of your own for those that you tag to answer
  3. Tag three people

Making Christmas Ornaments🎄

3/4 cup of water

1 cup of baking soda

1/2 cup of cornstarch

Warm over medium heat until it starts to thicken and looks like mashed potatoes.

Remove from heat and let cool.

Use rolling pin to roll out. The instructions said about 1/4 in thick but I didn’t bother to measure.

You can add design then paint later or design as you go.

Bake for an hour on 175 degrees. Turn over at roughly 30 mins.

Multiple Word Post (MWP): Birthday Trip to Pittsburgh

It was the weekend of March 7th. My sister and I planned to celebrate our friend’s 21st in style. The three of us piled into my sister’s car, and we headed for the strip. The whole way up was a brouhaha! Stories from our Dairy Queen days, school events, and  girl scouts surfaced in conversation. Laughter erupted so often, none of us could breathe.

Granted, none of us were that familiar with Pittsburgh, we drove around until we made some random exit. The road layout over there is the worst I’ve ever seen! As we say at one particular bar, I noticed an exit ramp, that literally faded back into the highway. Haha, the most insane set up ever.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable with that bar, and the super friendly men inside, we ladies decided to leave. Back in the car, my sister pulled out of the ally and back into the main road. She drove aimlessly, failing to stop at the red light in the intersection

I’m sitting in the backseat in such panic. A police cruiser soon stopped beside us on the deserted street.

“Hello officer,” my sister began.

“Good evening ladies.” he responded.” That’s a red light you ran back there!” be continued to my sister.

Without a pause, my sister comes up with this hilarious response,

” Oh! Well, I’m from out of town. Could you tell us where the….”

Haha the moment she said it, I completely expected her to be asked to step out and placed in handcuffs. Instead, he goes, ” Red doesn’t mean stop where you’re from.”

It was a night to remember. We never made it to strip; but then again, we didn’t need alcohol to appear like we had zero sense. We made a commitment to enjoy this birthday, and that we did!

Concept: To write everything and anything that comes to mind about the Daily Random Word.

It can be incomplete thoughts listed, a short story, a personal story, personal reflection, memories, whatever you want it to be. The idea is to get everything out. Once you’ve done that, you can return to these posts and use the ideas in your writing.

Have fun

Trip to Walmart… B4 9am

Standing in Walmart’s Pick Up, before 9:

* Almost everyone has a phone in hand (including me).

* Lady in the next isle over is talking loud enough that the British can understand her.

* Every associate is secretly thinking “WTF are you doin here before a decent hour” with their most cheery attitude.

* Most people back here look like a bad case of death by Friday Night Hangover.

I can’t wait to try this coffee. Does Crème Brulèe taste like vanilla?

* Are grandma elephants as lovely as most human grandmas?

*Somebody’s having a private rap concert close by.

* The associate who just walked past looked like Fiona from Shameless. Her real name is Diana.

* It’s only been 5 minutes, and I’m already over this waiting.

* 2lbs of Strawberries here is nearly $8! F that~

* Walmart has recently installed this ginormous not fun bulky tower thing for pick up orders.

Morning ☕️ 🕉

Wherever my story takes me, however dark and difficult the theme, there is always some hope and redemption, not because readers like happy endings, but because I am an optimist at heart. I know the sun will rise in the morning, that there is a light at the end of every tunnel.
